# Tracker

Blob tracking · HUD

Tracking software finds things in a shot and follows them, drawing boxes, IDs and readouts over the picture. Tracker finds the bright, dark, moving or colored spots in your picture and draws that heads-up display on top.

## Controls

### Find

- **Find** (Select: Bright / Dark / Motion / Color). What to look for. **Bright** spots, **Dark** spots, **Motion** since the last frame, or a **Color**.
- **Threshold** (hero knob, 0 to 100, rests at 55). The hero. How strict the test is. Higher finds only the brightest, darkest, strongest motion or closest color.
- **Color** (Hue fader, 0° to 360°, rests at 0°). The color to find when **Find** is set to **Color**.
- **Min size** (Knob, 0 to 100, rests at 15). The smallest target that counts. Raise it to ignore specks.
- **Max** (Knob, 1 to 16, rests at 6). How many targets at most, one to sixteen. The biggest win.

### Draw

- **Marker** (Select: Brackets / Box / Circle / Cross). How each target is marked. Corner **Brackets**, a **Box**, a **Circle** or a **Cross** hair.
- **Labels** (Select: ID / Coords / Size / None). The text by each target. Its **ID**, its **Coords** in pixels, its **Size**, or **None**.
- **Links** (Select: Off / Chain / Nearest / All). Dashed lines between targets. **Chain** joins them in ID order, **Nearest** joins each to its closest, **All** joins every pair.
- **Insets** (Select: Off / 1 / 2 / 3). Up to three zoomed boxes down the right edge, each showing one of the biggest targets close up.
- **Trails** (Knob, 0 to 100, rests at 0). A fading line behind each target, tracing where it's been.

### Style

- **Color** (Select: White / Green / Amber / Red / Cyan). The display color. White, Green, Amber, Red or Cyan.
- **Weight** (Knob, 0 to 100, rests at 30). How thick the markers and lines are.
- **Text** (Knob, 0 to 100, rests at 35). How big the labels are.
- **Lag** (Knob, 0 to 100, rests at 30). How slowly the markers catch up. Low snaps to the target, high floats after it.
- **Type** (Switch: Mono / Grotesk). The label type. **Mono** reads as a terminal, **Grotesk** as a broadcast graphic.
- **View** (Switch: Overlay / Detection). **Overlay** draws the display on your picture. **Detection** also tints the cells Tracker found, so you can see what it sees.

## Presets

- **Surveillance**: Boxes and IDs on the bright spots, each linked to its nearest.
- **Wildlife Cam**: Brackets on anything that moves, with coordinates and trails.
- **Sports Telemetry**: Circles on moving players, chained, with two zoomed insets.
