Where NANALOG runs best, and how to install it as an app on a computer or an iPad.

NANALOG runs in your browser, on your graphics card, in real time. It's built and tested in Chromium browsers first.

## On a computer

Use a Chromium browser: **Chrome**, **Brave**, **Edge** or **Arc**, kept up to date. These are the browsers every release is tested in.

Safari and Firefox open NANALOG too, but they can miss features. If something looks wrong in one of them, try Chrome before anything else.

To open NANALOG like an app, in its own window:

- **Chrome or Edge:** open [nanalog.studio](https://nanalog.studio), then choose **Install NANALOG** from the address bar or the browser menu.
- **Brave:** open the menu, then **Install NANALOG** or **Create shortcut**, and choose to open it as a window.
- **Arc:** keep it pinned in a space. Arc doesn't install web apps.

## On iPad

Every browser on iPad uses Safari's engine, so the browser you pick doesn't matter. What matters is opening NANALOG from your Home Screen. It then opens full screen, with no browser bars, and the NANA mark as its icon.

1. Open [nanalog.studio](https://nanalog.studio) in Safari.
2. Tap **Share**, then **Add to Home Screen**.
3. Open NANALOG from your Home Screen from now on.

> HEADS UP: On iPad, the Home Screen app keeps its own saved work, separate from Safari. Start your projects in the Home Screen app so they're all in one place.

## What it needs

- A graphics card with WebGL 2. Any computer or iPad from the last several years has one.
- A recent browser. NANALOG uses modern features for video, export and color.
- Room to work. The studio is laid out for a laptop or larger, and for iPad in either orientation. It opens on a phone, but it's tight.

## STUDIO keys

If you have a STUDIO key, enter it once on each browser or Home Screen app you use. On iPad, enter it in the Home Screen app, since it keeps its own settings.
